CAMERA HEATER REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE PRE-COLLISION CITY SENSOR

   Click here

2. REMOVE PRE-COLLISION CITY HEATER WIRE

   1. Disconnect the connector.

   2. 

      Disengage the 2 clamps.

   3. 

      Disconnect the 2 connectors to remove the pre-collision city heater wire.

3. REMOVE PRE-COLLISION CITY HEATER

   Tip:

   • Perform this step only when replacement of the pre-collision city heater is necessary, because it is a non-reusable part.

   • If the pre-collision city heater has been removed, replace it with a new one.

   1. If the ambient temperature is lower than 15°C:

      1. Using a heat light, heat the pre-collision city heater and windshield glass surface.

         Windshield Glass	15 to 80°C (59 to 176°F)

         CAUTION:

         • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts, touching the heat light may result in burns.

         • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

         Note:

         Do not heat the pre-collision city heater or windshield glass excessively.

   2. 

      Using a plier, and remove the pre-collision city heater as shown in the illustration.
