COOLING SYSTEM

  1. OUTLINE

    1. The cooling system uses a pressurized forced-circulation system with an open air type reservoir tank.

    2. A thermostat with a bypass valve is located in the water inlet housing to maintain suitable temperature distribution in the cooling system.

    3. A water pump swirl chamber and a thermostat housing have been placed in the timing chain cover to achieve a simpler construction and a compact engine.

    4. A 3-stage temperature-controlled fluid coupling fan controls the fan speed in 3 stages to improve cooling performance and reduce cooling fan noise.

    5. Toyota Genuine Super Long Life Coolant (SLLC) is used.

    6. A water-cooled type engine oil cooler is used on specified models.

  2. SPECIFICATION
