BACK DOOR OPENER SWITCH INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT BACK DOOR OPENER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/ Entry and Start System)

   1. Check the operation of the opener switch.

      1. 

         *1	Free
         *2	Pushed
         *a	Component without harness connected (Back Door Opener Switch Assembly)

         Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance

         Tester Connection	Switch Condition	Specified Condition
         2 (E) - 3 (UL)	Back door opener switch not pushed (OFF)	10 kΩ or higher
         2 (E) - 3 (UL)	Back door opener switch pushed (ON)	Below 1 Ω

         If the result is not as specified, replace the back door opener switch assembly.

   2. 

      *1	Free
      *2	Pushed
      *a	Component without harness connected (Back Door Opener Switch Assembly)

      Check the operation of the lock switch.

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance

         Tester Connection	Switch Condition	Specified Condition
         1 (L) - 2 (E)	Back door lock switch not pushed (OFF)	10 kΩ or higher
         1 (L) - 2 (E)	Back door lock switch pushed (ON)	Below 1 Ω

         If the result is not as specified, replace the back door opener switch assembly.

2. INSPECT BACK DOOR OPENER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/o Entry and Start System)

   1. Check the operation of the opener switch.

      1. 

         *1	Free
         *2	Pushed
         *a	Component without harness connected (Back Door Opener Switch Assembly)

         Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance

         Tester Connection	Switch Condition	Specified Condition
         2 (E) - 3 (UL)	Back door opener switch not pushed (OFF)	10 kΩ or higher
         2 (E) - 3 (UL)	Back door opener switch pushed (ON)	Below 1 Ω

         If the result is not as specified, replace the back door opener switch assembly.
