  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

  2. REMOVE REAR AXLE CARRIER LH

    Click here

  3. DRAIN DIFFERENTIAL OIL

    Click here

  4. REMOVE REAR DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY LH

      Using SST, remove the rear drive shaft assembly LH.

      SST
      09520-01010
      09520-24010   ( 09520-32040 )

      Note


      • Do not damage the drive shaft inboard joint boot.

      • Do not drop the rear drive shaft assembly LH.

      • Do not damage the rear drive shaft oil seal LH.

      Tech Tips

      Hook the SST claw at the position shown in the illustration to remove the rear drive shaft assembly LH.

  5. REMOVE REAR DRIVE SHAFT INBOARD JOINT SHAFT SNAP RING LH


    1. A01HIIB

      Using a screwdriver, remove the rear drive shaft inboard joint shaft snap ring LH.

      Note

      Do not damage the spline of the rear drive shaft inboard joint assembly LH.
