CANISTER(w/ Canister Pump Module) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL CANISTER PUMP MODULE

   1. 

      Engage the 2 claws to install a new canister pump module to the charcoal canister assembly.

      Note:

      • Do not allow foreign matter such as grease, oil or water to adhere to the O-rings.

      • Ensure that the claws are engaged properly.

2. INSTALL CHARCOAL CANISTER PROTECTOR

   1. Install the charcoal canister protector with the claw.

3. INSTALL CHARCOAL CANISTER BASE BRACKET

   1. Install the charcoal canister base bracket with the claw.

4. INSTALL CHARCOAL CANISTER ASSEMBLY

   1. Install the charcoal canister assembly with the 4 bolts and clip.

      20 N*m

      204 kgf*cm

      15 ft.*lbf

   2. 

      *1	Vent Line Hose
      *2	Air Inlet Line Hose
      *3	Purge Line Hose
      *a	Push

      Connect the vent line hose.

      1. Push the hose into the port and push the retainer to lock it.

         Note:

         • Check for damage or foreign objects on the connected part.

         • After connecting the hose, check that the vent hose and valve are securely connected by pulling on them.

   3. Connect the air inlet hose.

      1. Check that the retainer is secured inside the housing.

      2. Insert the air inlet hose straight into the pipe and push it in until a clicking sound is heard.

         Note:

         • Check for damage or foreign objects on the connected part.

         • After connecting the hose, check that the vent line hose and valve are securely connected by pulling on them.

   4. Connect the purge line hose, and slide the clamp to secure it.

   5. Connect the connector.

5. INSTALL NO. 1 FUEL TANK PROTECTOR

   1. Install the No. 1 fuel tank protector with the nut and 3 clips.

      6.0 N*m
