DESCRIPTION

The blind spot monitor sensor receives vehicle speed signals from the skid control ECU via CAN communication.

Note

When checking for DTCs, make sure that the blind spot monitor system is turned on.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK OTHER DTC OUTPUT (VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM)


    1. Turn the engine switch off.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    4. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Read the DTCs following the prompts on the GTS. Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRAC / Trouble Codes.


      Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Trouble Codes
      OK
      Vehicle stability control system DTCs are not output.

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    GO TO VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM w/ Electric Parking Brake System: Click here

  2. CHECK DTC


    1. Turn the engine switch off.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

      Body Electrical > Blind Spot Monitor Slave > Trouble Codes
