DESCRIPTION
When the power back door cannot be opened or closed using the back door control switch, one of the following may be malfunctioning: 1) back door control switch circuit, 2) multiplex network door ECU or 3) main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

First perform the communication function inspections in How to Proceed with Troubleshooting to confirm that there are no CAN communication malfunctions before troubleshooting this problem.
When replacing the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), make sure to replace it with a new one.

Disconnect the G73 back door control switch connector.
Disconnect the G79 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
