PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM, Diagnostic DTC:C1A50

DTC Code DTC Name
C1A50 Brake System Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

When the pre-collision brake control and pre-collision brake assist control are performed, the pre-collision city sensor sends a brake control signal to the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly). If a malfunction occurs in the vehicle stability control system, which is controlled by the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly), DTC C1A50 is stored.

DTC No.

DTC Detection Condition

Trouble Area

C1A50

Both of the following conditions are met:

  1. All of the following conditions are met:

    • 3 seconds have elapsed since the ignition switch was turned ON.

    • The battery voltage is 10 V or more for 3 seconds or more.

  2. All of the following conditions are met for 1 second or more:

    • Communication between the pre-collision city sensor and skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) is normal.

    • The pre-collision city sensor receives a brake system malfunction signal from the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly).

  • Vehicle stability control system

  • Pre-collision city sensor

  • Skid control ECU (Brake actuator assembly)

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note:
  • When replacing the pre-collision city sensor, replace it with a new one and be sure to initialize the settings. If a pre-collision city sensor which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the pre-collision city sensor will not match the information from the vehicle and, as a result, a DTC may be stored.

  • If the pre-collision city sensor has been replaced, or the windshield glass has been replaced or removed/installed, be sure to perform Pre-collision City Sensor Learning (Click here).

  • First check the CAN communication system by following How to Proceed with Troubleshooting. After checking that there are no malfunctions in the CAN communication system, proceed with troubleshooting (Click here).
