EGR COOLER REMOVAL
PROCEDURE
REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD CONVERTER SUB-ASSEMBLY
REMOVE NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS HOSE
Slide the 2 clips and remove the No. 2 water by-pass hose.
REMOVE EGR PIPE WITH COOLER SUB-ASSEMBLY

Disconnect the vacuum hose.

Bolt

Nut
Remove the 6 bolts, 2 nuts and EGR pipe with cooler sub-assembly.
Remove the 2 gaskets from the No. 1 EGR pipe sub-assembly and EGR pipe with cooler sub-assembly.

O-ring
Remove the O-ring from the EGR pipe with cooler sub-assembly.

Bolt

Nut
Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and No. 1 EGR pipe sub-assembly.
Remove the gasket from the No. 2 EGR valve assembly.

Remove the No. 2 EGR valve assembly and gasket from the EGR pipe with cooler sub-assembly.

REMOVE STUD BOLT
Tip:If a stud bolt is deformed or the threads are damaged, replace it.

Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 stud bolts from the EGR pipe with cooler sub-assembly.
