CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note:

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE

  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (OPERATE VSV FOR ACIS)

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Start the engine and turn the GTS on.

    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Active Test / Active the VSV for Intake Control.

    4. Check if an operating noise can be heard when operating the air intake control valve using the GTS.

      OK

      Operating noise can be heard.

    CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS

  2. INSPECT VSV FOR ACIS

    1. Check the VSV for ACIS (Click here).

    REPLACE VSV FOR ACIS

  3. CHECK VSV FOR ACIS (POWER SOURCE)

    1. U122290E02

Disconnect the VSV for ACIS connector.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
