POWER BACK DOOR SYSTEM FREEZE FRAME DATA

  1. FREEZE FRAME DATA

    1. Whenever a DTC is detected, the multiplex network door ECU stores the current vehicle state as Freeze Frame Data.

  2. CHECK FREEZE FRAME DATA

    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the ignition switch ON.

    4. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Back Door / Trouble Codes.

      Body Electrical > Back Door > Trouble Codes

      Body Electrical > Back Door

      Latch switch signal

      ON or OFF

      ON: Back door lock motor open-latched

      OFF: Back door lock motor full-latched or half-latched

      Closer Position SW

      Sector switch signal

      ON or OFF

      ON: Back door lock sector gear in center position (Sector switch on)

      OFF: Back door lock sector gear out of center position (Sector switch off)

      Refer to "POWER BACK DOOR OPERATION TIMING CHART"*

      Pawl Position Switch

      Pawl switch signal

      ON or OFF

      ON: Back door lock motor open-latched

      OFF: Back door lock motor except open-latched

      Refer to "POWER BACK DOOR OPERATION TIMING CHART"*

      Courtesy SW

      Back door courtesy switch signal

      ON or OFF

      ON: Back door open

      OFF: Back door closed

      Refer to "POWER BACK DOOR OPERATION TIMING CHART"*

  3. CLEAR FREEZE FRAME DATA

    Note:

    Clearing the DTCs will also clear the Freeze Frame Data.

    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the ignition switch ON.

    4. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Clear the DTCs and Freeze Frame Data.

      Body Electrical > Back Door > Clear DTCs
