SFI SYSTEM INITIALIZATION

  1. ECU RESET

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Utility / ECU Reset.

      Powertrain > Engine > Utility

      Tester Display

      ECU Reset

    5. Each of the following items can be selected to perform initialization.

      • Software Reset

      • BPM Learning Reset

      • Vanos Learning Value Reset

      • Accel Pedal Learning Value Reset

  2. IDLE LEARNING

    1. Start the engine and warm it up until the engine coolant temperature is 80°C (176°F) or higher.

    2. After the engine is warmed up, allow it to idle for 5 minutes with the air conditioning and all accessories off.

    3. Confirm that the idle speed is within the specified range.
