OIL PRESSURE SWITCHING VALVE INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

  1. INSTALL OIL PRESSURE SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY

    1. A353425C02

      O-Ring

      Apply a small amount of engine oil to the O-ring of the oil pressure switching valve assembly.

    2. A351848C03

      10 mm Union Nut Wrench

      *b

      Torque Wrench Fulcrum Length

      Using a 10 mm union nut wrench, install the oil pressure switching valve assembly to the oil pump relief valve housing assembly with the bolt.

      Specified tightening torque

      8.5 N*m

      87 kgf*cm

      75 in.*lbf

      Note:

      • When reusing the oil pressure switching valve assembly, inspect the O-ring.

      • Make sure that the O-ring is not cracked or dose not move out of place during installation.

      Tip:

      • Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.

      • When using a 10 mm union nut wrench (fulcrum length of 22 mm (0.866 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 162 mm (6.38 in.)): 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf)

    3. Connect the oil pressure switching valve assembly connector.

  2. INSPECT FOR OIL LEAK
