PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT ENGINE HOOD COURTESY SWITCH (HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY) (for LHD)


    1. A001SF9C01
      *a

      Component without harness connected

      (Engine Hood Courtesy Switch (Hood Lock Assembly))
      *b Lock
      *c Unlock

      Check the resistance.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        1 - 2 Locked Below 1 Ω
        1 - 2 Unlocked 10 kΩ or higher

        If the resistance is not as specified, replace the engine hood courtesy switch (hood lock assembly).

  2. INSPECT ENGINE HOOD COURTESY SWITCH (HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY) (for RHD)

      *a

      Component without harness connected

      (Engine Hood Courtesy Switch (Hood Lock Assembly))
      *b Lock
      *c Unlock

      Check the resistance.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        1 - 2 Locked Below 1 Ω
        1 - 2 Unlocked 10 kΩ or higher

        If the resistance is not as specified, replace the engine hood courtesy switch (hood lock assembly).
