FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY DISASSEMBLY

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FOG LIGHT LENS LH

    Note

    Perform work using rubber gloves.

      Remove the 3 screws.

    2. Using a T20H "TORX" screwdriver, remove the screw.

    3. A01HEM5

      Detach the 2 claws.

    4. A01HHX9

      Using a dryer, heat the backside of the fog light assembly LH.

      Note

      If the fog light assembly is heated unevenly, it will deform or melt.

      Tech Tips

      The fog light gasket expands when warmed, pushing up the fog light lens LH and making the lens easy to remove.

    5. Remove the fog light lens LH.

      Note


      • Do not touch the fog light lens LH with bare hands.

      • If dirty, lightly wipe with a soft cloth.

      Tech Tips


      • If the fog light lens LH cannot be removed even after heating, using a screwdriver, lift the fog light lens LH.

      • Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

      • The fog light gasket may stick to the lens and become detached at the same time.

  2. REMOVE FOG LIGHT GASKET


    1. Remove the fog light gasket.

  3. REMOVE FOG LIGHT UNIT LH

    Note


    • Perform work using rubber gloves.

    • Do not touch the fog light unit LH with bare hands.

    • If dirty, lightly wipe with a soft cloth.

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. A01HDVF

      Loosen the aiming screw 20 rotations.

    3. A01HHC2

      Pull the fog light unit LH to detach the inside of the pivot collar.

      Note

      Do not touch the printed wire board.

      B008HF7 Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and disconnect the fog light unit LH from the outside of the pivot collar.

      Note

      Do not touch the printed wire board.

      Tech Tips

      If it is difficult to insert the screw, loosen the aiming screw until the pivot collar can be contacted. However, make sure to count and record the number of rotations when loosening the aiming screw.

    5. While holding the fog light unit LH with one hand so that it does not fall over, loosen the aiming screw until the fog light unit LH is disconnected.

      Note

      Do not touch the printed wire board.

      Tech Tips

      Count and record the number of rotations before the fog light unit LH and aiming screw are disconnected.

    6. Using a clip remover, remove the pivot collar and attach the 2 claws to install it to the fog light unit LH.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the clip remover tip before use.
