Particulate Filter Restriction - Soot Accumulation Bank 1

During high load operation, the PM (Particulate Matter) accumulation ratio is 70% or higher for 1 second or more (1 trip detection logic).

Front exhaust pipe assembly (GPF)

Comes on* / Does not come on

*: The MIL is illuminated when PM accumulation has progressed and protection of parts has become necessary.

DTC stored

SAE Code: P2463

MONITOR DESCRIPTION

When the accumulation ratio of the PM in the GPF (Gasoline Particulate Filter) is at the specified value or higher, output is limited during high load operation to prevent the GPF from rising to a high temperature. A DTC is stored at this time.

The MIL is illuminated when PM accumulation has progressed and protection of parts has become necessary.

CONFIRMATION DRIVING PATTERN

  1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

  2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

  3. Turn the GTS on.

  4. Clear the DTCs (even if no DTCs are stored, perform the clear DTC procedure).

  5. Turn the ignition switch off and wait for at least 30 seconds.

  6. Start the engine and wait 10 seconds or more.

  7. Turn the GTS on.

  8. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes.

  9. Read the pending DTCs.

    Tip:
    • If a pending DTC is output, the system is malfunctioning.

    • If a pending DTC is not output, perform the following procedure.

  10. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Utility / All Readiness.

  11. Input the DTC: P246300.

  12. Check the DTC judgment result.

    • System normal

    ABNORMAL

    • DTC judgment completed

    • System abnormal

    INCOMPLETE

    • DTC judgment not completed

    • Perform driving pattern after confirming DTC enabling conditions

    Tip:
    • If the judgment result is NORMAL, perform the following procedure.

    • If the judgment result is ABNORMAL, the system has a malfunction.

  13. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / PM Deposition Ratio Bank1.

  14. Read the value displayed on the GTS.

    Tip:
    • If the PM Deposition Ratio value is less than 70%, the system is normal.

    • If the PM Deposition Ratio value is 70% or higher, the system has a malfunction.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Tip:
  • Clear the Vehicle Control History after completing repairs.

  • Read Freeze Frame Data using the GTS. The ECM records vehicle and driving condition information as Freeze Frame Data the moment a DTC is stored. When troubleshooting, Freeze Frame Data can help determine if the vehicle was moving or stationary, if the engine was warmed up or not, if the air fuel ratio was lean or rich, and other data from the time the malfunction occurred.
