Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD

    Tech Tips

    When installing the front No. 1 wheel opening extension pad, heat the front wheel opening extension using a heat light.

    Front Wheel Opening Extension 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    Note

    Do not heat the front wheel opening extension excessively.


    1. Clean the front wheel opening extension surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the front wheel opening extension surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the front wheel opening extension.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

      Install a new front No. 1 wheel opening extension pad.


      1. Remove the peeling paper from the face of a new front No. 1 wheel opening extension pad.

        Tech Tips

        After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      2. Install the front No. 1 wheel opening extension pad.

  2. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD

    Tech Tips

    When installing the rear No. 2 wheel opening extension pad, heat the rear No. 1 wheel opening extension using a heat light.

    Rear No. 1 Wheel Opening Extension 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    Note

    Do not heat the rear No. 1 wheel opening extension excessively.


    1. Clean the rear No. 1 wheel opening extension surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the rear No. 1 wheel opening extension surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the rear No. 1 wheel opening extension.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

      Install a new rear No. 2 wheel opening extension pad.


      1. Remove the peeling paper from the face of a new rear No. 2 wheel opening extension pad.

        Tech Tips

        After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      2. Install the rear No. 2 wheel opening extension pad.
