REAR CRANKSHAFT OIL SEAL REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. REMOVE ENGINE AND TRANSAXLE

  2. REMOVE MANUAL TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle)

  3. REMOVE AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transaxle)

  4. FIX ENGINE ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE CLUTCH COVER ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle)

  6. REMOVE CLUTCH DISC ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle)

  7. REMOVE FLYWHEEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle)

    1. A195875E01

      Using SST, hold the crankshaft pulley.

      Tip:

      Part number of installation bolt for SST (crankshaft pulley holdingtool): 91551-80650 (quantity: 2)

    2. A238739

      Remove the 8 bolts and flywheel.

  8. REMOVE DRIVE PLATE AND RING GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transaxle)

      Using SST, hold the crankshaft pulley.

      Tip:

      Part number of installation bolt for SST (crankshaft pulley holdingtool): 91551-80650 (quantity: 2)

    2. A238740

      Remove the 8 bolts, the rear drive plate spacer, the drive plate and ring gear sub-assembly and the front drive plate spacer.

  9. REMOVE REAR ENGINE OIL SEAL

      Cut Position

      *2

      Protective Tape

      Using a knife, cut off the lip of the oil seal.

    2. Using a screwdriver, pry out the oil seal.

      Note:

      Do not damage the surface of the oil seal press fit hole or the crankshaft.

      Tip:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
