HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY(for Sedan) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL LH (for LHD)

  2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER MUDGUARD LH (for LHD)

    w/ Mudguard:

  3. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH (for LHD)

    Click here

  4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH (for LHD)

    Click here

  5. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL RH (for RHD)

  6. REMOVE FRONT FENDER MUDGUARD RH (for RHD)

    w/ Mudguard:

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  7. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH (for RHD)

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  8. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH (for RHD)

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (for LHD)

  10. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH (for LHD)

    Click here

  11. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

    w/ Instrument Panel Under Cover:

  12. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (for RHD)

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  13. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH (for RHD)

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  14. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

    w/ Instrument Panel Under Cover:

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  15. DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  16. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. B350307

      Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly and remove the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

  17. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

    1. w/ Engine Hood Courtesy Switch:

      1. B350301

        Disconnect the connector.

      2. Disengage the clamp.

    2. B350303

      Remove the 3 bolts.

    3. B350305

      Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly and remove the hood lock assembly.

  18. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

    1. w/ Engine Hood Courtesy Switch:

      1. B350302

        Disconnect the connector.

      2. Disengage the clamp.

    2. B350304

      Remove the 3 bolts.

    3. B350306

      Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly and remove the hood lock assembly.

  19. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 clamps and hood cable grommet as shown in the illustration.

      Tip:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Pull the hood lock control cable assembly from the engine compartment and remove it.

  20. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage 4 clamps and hood cable grommet as shown in the illustration.

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Pull the hood lock control cable assembly from the engine compartment and remove it.
