HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY


    1. Tie the string that was passed through the engine compartment to the end of the hood lock control cable assembly.

    2. for LHD:


      1. B004FCAC01
        *1 Hood Lock Control Cable Assembly
        *a Grommet

        Pass the hood lock control cable assembly through the grommet as shown in the illustration.

    3. for RHD:


      1. B004EVWC01
        *1 Hood Lock Control Cable Assembly
        *a Grommet

        Pass the hood lock control cable assembly through the grommet as shown in the illustration.

    4. Disconnect the string from the hood lock control cable assembly.

    5. Pass the hood lock control cable assembly through the upper radiator support.

    6. Engage the 4 clamps and install the hood lock control cable assembly.

  2. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER (for RHD)


    1. w/ Cover:


      1. Engage the clamp.

      2. Engage the 2 claws and install the hood lock control cable cover.

      3. Install the screw.

  3. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. B004F0R

      Apply MP grease to the sliding areas of the lock.

    2. Connect the hood lock control cable assembly.

      Install the hood lock assembly with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.5 N*m  { 76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }

    4. Connect the connector.

  4. INSTALL HOOD LOCK RELEASE LEVER PROTECTOR


    1. Engage the clamp.

    2. Install the hood lock release lever protector with the 2 clips.

    3. Engage the 2 clamps.

  5. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect the hood lock control cable assembly to install the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

  6. CONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  7. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  8. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL

    Click here

  9. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER

  10. ADJUST HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY
