INTAKE MANIFOLD REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE WATER GUARD PLATE LH (for LHD)

  3. REMOVE WATER GUARD PLATE LH (for RHD)

  4. REMOVE NO. 2 HEATER AIR DUCT SPLASH SHIELD SEAL (for LHD)

  5. REMOVE NO. 2 HEATER AIR DUCT SPLASH SHIELD SEAL (for RHD)

  6. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL (for LHD)

  7. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL (for RHD)

  8. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY

  9. DISCONNECT HEATER WATER OUTLET HOSE A

  10. DISCONNECT HEATER WATER INLET HOSE A

  11. REMOVE NO. 2 HEATER BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. A195949

      Remove the bolt and No. 2 heater bracket sub-assembly.

  12. REMOVE NO. 1 EGR PIPE

    1. A195950

      Remove the 2 nuts, 2 bolts and No. 1 EGR pipe.

    2. Remove the 2 EGR pipe gaskets.

  13. REMOVE VACUUM SENSOR (MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE SENSOR)

      Disconnect the 2 clamps and connector, and remove the bolt and bracket from the intake manifold.

    2. A251653

      Disconnect the vacuum hose.

    3. Remove the bolt and vacuum sensor (manifold absolute pressure sensor) from the intake manifold.

  14. DISCONNECT UNION TO CONNECTOR TUBE HOSE (for LHD)

  15. DISCONNECT CHECK VALVE TO BRAKE BOOSTER HOSE (for RHD)

  16. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD

    1. A195951

      Slide the clip and disconnect the ventilation hose from the intake manifold.

    2. Disconnect the fuel vapor feed hose from the intake manifold.

    3. A231672

      Remove the 3 bolts, 2 nuts and intake manifold.

  17. REMOVE NO. 1 INTAKE MANIFOLD TO HEAD GASKET

    1. A231673

      Remove the No. 1 intake manifold to head gasket from the intake manifold.
