  1. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS

    Component Function
    Windshield Deicer Switch*1 Operates the windshield deicer system.
    Heated Windshield Defroster Switch*2 Operates the heated windshield defroster system.
    Air Conditioning Amplifier Assembly*2

    • Operates and controls the windshield deicer system in accordance with the signals from the deicer switch.*1

    • Operates and controls the heated windshield defroster system in accordance with the signals from the heated windshield defroster switch.*2
    Windshield Deicer Wire*1 Applies electrical current to a windshield deicer wire in the windshield glass to generate heat and remove ice from the windshield glass.
    Heated Windshield Defroster Wire*2 Applies electrical current to a heated windshield defroster wire in the windshield glass to generate heat and remove ice from the windshield glass.

  2. SYSTEM CONTROL


    1. Windshield Deicer System (Models with Windshield Deicer System)


      1. The windshield deicer system is activated when the power switch is turned to on (IG) and the windshield deicer switch is pushed. The windshield deicer switch keeps the front wiper deicer on for approximately 15 minutes.

    2. Heated Windshield Defroster System (Models with Heated Windshield Defroster System)


      1. The heated windshield defroster system is activated when the power switch is turned to on (IG) and the heated windshield defroster switch is pushed. The air conditioning amplifier assembly keeps the heated windshield defroster system on for approximately 4 minutes if the outside temperature is at the predetermined level or lower.
