POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DOOR CONTROL BATTERY OPERATION (w/o Canister Pump Module with Door Ajar Warning Buzzer Function)

    After performing the following inspection, perform Initialization.

    Tech Tips


    • The door control battery discharges completely within approximately 50 minutes after the engine switch is turned off. Discharge time is reduced when the door control battery is not fully charged.

    • The door control battery is fully charged within 90 seconds after the engine switch is turned on.


    1. Check that all of the doors are locked.

    2. Remove the D/L fuse from the instrument panel junction block assembly.

    3. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    4. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    5. Turn the GTS on.

    6. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.

    7. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.


      Body Electrical > Main Body > Active Test

    8. Wait at least 90 seconds before performing the Active Test.

      Tech Tips

      Wait until the door control battery is fully charged.

    9. Remove the ECU-IG1 NO. 1 fuse and ECU-IG1 NO. 4 fuse from the instrument panel junction block assembly.

    10. Remove the ECU-DCC NO. 2 fuse from the instrument panel junction block assembly.

      Tech Tips

      The front passenger side door can be unlocked and opened before removing the ECU-DCC NO. 2 fuse.

    11. After removing the ECU-DCC NO. 2 fuse, perform the Active Test "Shock Detection Unlock" within 20 minutes.

    12. Check that all the doors unlock.

      OK
      All the doors unlock.
