  1. PRECAUTION FOR DISCONNECTING CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note:
    • After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.Click here

    • When disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal while performing repairs, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.Click here

  2. IGNITION SWITCH EXPRESSION

    Tip:

    The type of ignition switch used on this model differs according to the specifications of the vehicle. The expressions listed in the table below are used in this section.

  3. NOTICE FOR ARMED STATE

    If the vehicle is left in the armed state for an extended period of time or in another condition that causes the battery to be fully depleted, the alarm may sound simultaneously with the recharging of the battery or the replacement of the battery with a new one.*2 If this occurs, immediately unlock the doors through a wireless unlock operation or entry unlock operation*1 to stop the alarm.

    Tip:

    *2: This may occur in the following situation: during active arming mode while in the armed state, the cable of the negative (-) battery terminal is disconnected and reconnected (Click here).
