REMOVE FRONT WHEEL
REMOVE FENDER APRON MUDGUARD SEAL
Remove the 4 clips and fender apron mudguard seal.
REMOVE TORSION BAR SPRING
Slide the dust cover on the anchor arm side and put matchmarks on the torsion bar spring, anchor arm, and front suspension torque arm.
Hold the anchor arm adjust nut and remove the anchor arm lock nut with a wrench (22 x 24 mm).
Measure dimension A (to be used as a reference dimension in later steps) of the anchor arm adjusting hexagon bolt and note down the length.
Loosen the anchor arm adjust nut to free the torsion bar spring.
Remove the following parts from the anchor arm.
Anchor arm adjust nut. (Part A)
Anchor arm adjust seat. (Part B)
Anchor arm adjusting hexagon bolt. (Part C)
Anchor arm swivel. (Part D)
Remove the anchor arm and torsion bar spring.
Remove the torsion bar dust cover from the torsion bar spring.
REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION TORQUE ARM
Remove the 2 bolts and torque arm from the front suspension upper arm.
SEPARATE FRONT SPEED SENSOR
Remove the 2 bolts and 2 clips to separate the front speed sensor.
SEPARATE FRONT UPPER SUSPENSION ARM
Remove the cotter pin and loosen the nut.
Note
Do not remove the nut.
Using SST, separate the steering knuckle from the suspension upper arm and remove the nut.
Note
Fix the steering knuckle with a wire so that the flexible hose does not receive excessive force.
Do not damage the ball joint dust cover.
SEPARATE VANE PUMP OIL RESERVOIR ASSEMBLY
Remove the 2 bolts and vane pump oil reservoir assembly.
Note
Suspend the vane pump oil reservoir assembly with wire to prevent power steering fluid from spilling out.
REMOVE FRONT UPPER SUSPENSION ARM
Remove the 3 bolts and the front suspension upper arm.
