RADIATOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

  1. INSTALL FAN SHROUD

    1. Install the fan shroud with the 2 bolts.

      10.5 N*m

      107 kgf*cm

      8 ft.*lbf

  2. INSTALL COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY

    1. Attach the 2 guides to install the cooler condenser assembly.

      Click here

  3. INSTALL NO. 2 FAN SHROUD

    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the No. 2 fan shroud.

    2. Install the 2 bolts.

      10.5 N*m

      107 kgf*cm

      8 ft.*lbf

  4. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT

    1. Install the 2 lower radiator supports to the fan shroud.

  5. INSTALL WATER BY-PASS PIPE

    1. Install the water by-pass pipe to the radiator, and slide the hose clamp to secure the hose.

    2. Attach the 2 clamps to install the water by-pass pipe.

  6. INSTALL NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

    1. Install the No. 2 radiator hose to the radiator assembly, and slide the hose clamp to secure the hose.

      Tip:

      Install the hose clamp with the claw facing downward.

  7. INSTALL RADIATOR HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Install the radiator hose sub-assembly to the radiator assembly, and slide the hose clamp to secure the hose.

    2. Attach the radiator hose sub-assembly to the clamp.

  8. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

    1. Install the radiator assembly together with the fan shroud.

      Note:

      Make sure that both lower radiator supports are attached to the fan shroud.

  9. CONNECT NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

    1. Connect the No. 2 water by-pass hose to the radiator assembly, and slide the hose clamp to secure the hose.

  10. CONNECT NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

    1. Connect the No. 1 water by-pass hose to the water by-pass pipe, and slide the hose clamp to secure the hose.

  11. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

    1. Connect the No. 2 radiator hose to the water inlet, and slide the hose clamp to secure the hose.

  12. CONNECT RADIATOR HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Connect the radiator hose sub-assembly to the cylinder head sub-assembly, and slide the hose clamp to secure the hose.

  13. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT

    1. Install the upper radiator support with the 4 bolts.

      31 N*m

      316 kgf*cm

      23 ft.*lbf

  14. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR SUPPORT

    1. Install the 2 No. 1 radiator supports with the 2 bolts.

      19 N*m

      194 kgf*cm

      14 ft.*lbf

  15. CONNECT WIRE HARNESS

    1. Connect the 2 cooling fan motor connectors.

    2. Attach the 4 wire harness clamps to connect the wire harness.

  16. CONNECT LIQUID PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  17. CONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  18. INSTALL RADIATOR UPPER AIR GUIDE PLATE

    1. Install the radiator upper air guide plate with the 6 clips.

  19. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER UPPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Install the front bumper upper reinforcement sub-assembly with the 2 bolts and 2 clips.

    2. Connect the horn connector.

  20. CONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

    1. Attach the clamp to connect the hood lock control cable assembly.

  21. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

  22. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER (w/ Cover)

  23. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

  24. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK

  25. CHARGE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM WITH REFRIGERANT

  26. WARM UP COMPRESSOR

    Click here

  27. INSPECT REFRIGERANT LEAK

    Click here

  28. INSTALL RADIATOR LOWER AIR GUIDE PLATE

    1. Attach the 2 claws and install the radiator lower air guide plate.

  29. INSTALL FRONT LOWER BUMPER ABSORBER

    1. Install the front lower bumper absorber with 4 screws.

  30. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
