HORN INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT HIGH PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY (except CHINA)

      Component without harness connected

      (High Pitched Horn Assembly)

      Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the horn according to the table below.

      OK
      Measurement Condition Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1

      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2

      		 High pitched horn sounds

      If the result is not as specified, replace the horn assembly.

  2. INSPECT LOW PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY (for CHINA)

      Component without harness connected

      (Low Pitched Horn Assembly)

      Check that the low pitched horn sounds when the battery voltage is applied between the terminal and the bracket.

      OK
      Measurement Condition Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1

      Battery negative (-) → Body

      		 Low pitched horn sounds

      If the result is not as specified, replace the horn assembly.

  3. INSPECT LOW PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY (except CHINA)

      Component without harness connected

      (Low Pitched Horn Assembly)

      Check that the low pitched horn sounds when the battery voltage is applied between the terminal and the bracket.

      OK
      Measurement Condition Specified Condition

      Battery negative (-) → Body

      		 Low pitched horn sounds

      If the result is not as specified, replace the horn assembly.

  4. INSPECT HIGH PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY (for CHINA)
