ACCELERATOR PEDAL ROD REMOVAL


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

  2. REMOVE ACCELERATOR PEDAL ROD


    1. A01E2EAE01

      Disconnect the accelerator pedal position sensor connector.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and accelerator pedal rod.

      Note


      • Do not drop or strike the accelerator pedal rod.

      • Do not disassemble the accelerator pedal rod.

      • This accelerator pedal does not require lubrication.

        Do not apply oil or other lubrication to the accelerator pedal rod.

        If applied, the accelerator pedal rod must be replaced.
