PCV VALVE ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL

  2. REMOVE RADIATOR COVER PLATE

    Click here

  3. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  4. INSPECT PCV VALVE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Start and idle the engine.

    2. Remove the engine oil level dipstick.

    3. Block the 2 hoses using a hose clipper, etc. as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      If there is a possibility of the surface of the hose becoming damaged when using the tools to create a blockage in the hose, use a cloth to protect the hose before performing work.

    4. Insert the engine oil level dipstick and check for air suction sounds when removing it after 15 seconds or more have elapsed.

      OK
      Air suction sound can be heard

    5. Remove to the tools used to block to the 2 hoses.

    6. Install the engine oil level dipstick.
