PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Radar Cruise 1 / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

    1. Remove the cruise control main switch.

  3. CHECK CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH WIRE

      Remove the cruise control switch wire.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      z10-3 (CCS) - A-3 (CCS) Always Below 1 Ω
      z10-4 (ECC) - A-1 (ECC) Always Below 1 Ω
      z10-3 (CCS) or A-3 (CCS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      z10-4 (ECC) or A-1 (ECC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  4. INSPECT SPIRAL CABLE WITH SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly.

    2. Inspect the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly.

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SPIRAL CABLE WITH SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY - HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the L52 spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the L5 hybrid vehicle control ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L52-1 (CCS) - L5-28 (CCS) Always Below 1 Ω
      L52-2 (ECC) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      L52-1 (CCS) or L5-28 (CCS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
