PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM, Diagnostic DTC:C1AAF

DTC Code DTC Name
C1AAF Heater Activation Relay Open

DESCRIPTION

The pre-collision city sensor controls the TSS C HTR relay to turn the pre-collision city heater on and off.

If the pre-collision city sensor detects a malfunction in the TSS C HTR relay coil circuit, it will store DTC C1AAF.

DTC No.

Heater Activation Relay Open

  • Either of the following is detected:

  • When a pre-collision city heater operation request is output, voltage at terminal BUZ of the pre-collision city sensor is 1.368 V or more for 5 seconds or more.

  • When a pre-collision city heater operation request is not output, voltage at terminal BUZ of the pre-collision city sensor is 0.145 V or less for 5 seconds or more.

  • TSS C HTR relay

  • Pre-collision city sensor

  • Harness or connector

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note:
  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.

  • When replacing the pre-collision city sensor, replace it with a new one and be sure to perform initialization. If a pre-collision city sensor which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the pre-collision city sensor will not match the information from the vehicle and, as a result, a DTC may be stored.

  • If the pre-collision city sensor has been replaced, or the windshield glass has been replaced or removed/installed, be sure to perform Pre-collision City Sensor Optical Axis Learning.

    Tip:

Pre-collision City Sensor Optical Axis Learning can be performed by using either One Time Recognition or Sequential Recognition.
