  1. INSPECT OIL PRESSURE SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY

      Component without harness connected

      (Oil Pressure Switching Valve Assembly)

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D61-1 - D61-2 20°C (68°F) 6.2 to 8.2 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the oil pressure switching valve assembly.

      Component without harness connected

      (Oil Pressure Switching Valve Assembly)

      Connect the positive (+) lead of the battery to terminal 1 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 2 and check that the operating sound of the oil pressure switching valve assembly can be heard.

      Note


      • Check that the battery voltage is between 10.5 and 16 V before performing this test.

      • This test must be performed within 10 seconds to prevent the coil from burning out.

      • Always turn the voltage on and off at the battery, not the oil pressure switching valve assembly.

      If the result is not as specified, replace the oil pressure switching valve assembly.
