FRONT SEATBACK HEATER(for Sedan) INSTALLATION

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

CAUTION:

Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seat frame and adjuster may injure your hands.

Tip:

  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The following procedure is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE

  1. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY

    1. Install the front seatback heater assembly to the separate type front seatback cover with 10 new tag pins.

  2. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

  3. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD

    1. Temporarily install the separate type front seatback cover with pad.

    2. Engage each claw to install the 2 front seat headrest supports.

    3. w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:

        Bracket

        Engage the 3 brackets and install the 2 nuts.

        5.5 N*m

        56 kgf*cm

        49 in.*lbf

        Note:

        • For vehicles with a front seat airbag assembly, the separate type front seatback cover with pad must be securely installed. Otherwise, the front seat airbag assembly may not deploy properly.

        • Make sure that the strap is not twisted after installing the nut.

        • Install the brackets securely.

    4. Turn back the separate type front seatback cover to its original position.

    5. B350754

      Using hog ring pliers, install 3 new hog rings.

      Note:

      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seatback cover.

      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seatback cover.

    6. B350752

      Using hog ring pliers, install 5 new hog rings.

      Note:

      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seatback cover.

      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seatback cover.

    7. B352701

      Connect the front seatback heater connector.

    8. Engage the clamp.

    9. w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:

      1. B347300

        Pass the rubber band to install the front seat airbag assembly wire harness.

      2. B347299

        Engage the claw to install the front seat airbag assembly wire harness.

      3. Engage the wire harness guide.

      4. Engage the 3 clamps.

  6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD (for Driver Side)

  7. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD (for Front Passenger Side)

  8. INSTALL VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

  9. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE

  10. CONNECT SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

  11. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY
