REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Tip:
  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The following procedure is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE

  1. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY

      Protective Tape

      Apply protective tape around the rear combination light assembly.

      Guide

      Remove the 2 screws.

    3. Disengage the 2 pins and guide, and disconnect the rear combination light assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Disengage the 4 clamps.

    5. Disconnect the connector.

      Turn the rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly with the stop light bulb as shown in the illustration to disconnect them as a unit.

      Turn the rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly with the rear turn signal light bulb as shown in the illustration to remove the rear combination light assembly.

    8. for Driver Side:

      1. E392083

        Turn the rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly with the No. 1 rear fog light bulb as shown in the illustration to disconnect them as a unit.

    9. for Front Passenger Side:

      1. E392085

        Turn the rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly with the back-up light bulb as shown in the illustration to disconnect them as a unit.

  2. REMOVE STOP LIGHT BULB

    1. Remove the stop light bulb from the rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly.

  3. REMOVE REAR TURN SIGNAL LIGHT BULB

    1. Remove the rear turn signal light bulb from the rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly.

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 REAR FOG LIGHT BULB (for Driver Side)

    1. Remove the No. 1 rear fog light bulb from the rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly.

  5. REMOVE BACK-UP LIGHT BULB (for Front Passenger Side)

    1. Remove the back-up light bulb from the rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly.

  6. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/ Package Tray Trim)

  7. REMOVE REAR FLOOR MAT ASSEMBLY

  8. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Separate Seat Type)

  9. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Bench Seat Type)

  10. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 3 Door)

  11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP (for 3 Door)

  12. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP (for 5 Door)

  13. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for 3 Door)

  14. DISCONNECT NO. 1 REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for 5 Door)

  15. DISCONNECT NO. 1 REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for 3 Door)

  16. REMOVE FRONT QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (for 3 Door)

  17. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH (for 5 Door)

  18. REMOVE INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH COVER (for LH Side)

  19. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT ASSEMBLY (for LH Side)

    w/ Luggage Compartment Room Light:Click here

  20. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH END COVER (for 3 Door)

  21. REMOVE INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH (for 5 Door)

  22. REMOVE INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH (for 3 Door)

  23. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. E392089

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Disengage the grommet to remove the rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly.

  24. REMOVE OUTER QUARTER GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 5 Door)

    Tip:

    When removing the outer quarter garnish sub-assembly, heat the vehicle body and outer quarter garnish sub-assembly using a heat light.

    Note:

    Do not heat the vehicle body or outer quarter garnish sub-assembly excessively.

      Double-sided Tape

      Disengage the 2 clips.

    2. Separate the double-sided tape to remove the outer quarter garnish sub-assembly.
