When the pre-crash safety system is operating, the driving support ECU assembly detects that Recognition Camera Axis Adjust has not been completed.

  • Front recognition camera system

Note:

  • First check the CAN communication system by following How to Proceed with Troubleshooting. After checking that there are no malfunctions in the CAN communication system, proceed with troubleshooting

  • When replacing the driving support ECU assembly, always replace it with a new one. If a driving support ECU assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the driving support ECU assembly will not match the information from the vehicle. As a result, a DTC may be stored.

  • If the forward recognition camera has been replaced with a new one, be sure to perform Recognition Camera/Target Position Memory and Recognition Camera Axis Adjust.

PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK FOR DTC (FRONT RECOGNITION CAMERA SYSTEM)

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Front Recognition Camera / Trouble Codes.

    5. Check for DTCs.

      Chassis > Front Recognition Camera > Trouble Codes

      OK

      Front recognition camera system DTCs are not output.

  2. CHECK FOR DTC

    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Pre-Crash 2 > Clear DTCs

    2. Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      Tip:

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

    3. Check for DTCs.

      DTC C1AA9 is not output.
