HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY(for Sedan) DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE

  1. REMOVE HEADLIGHT COVER

    1. E274797

      Remove the 5 screws.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws and 9 guides to remove the headlight cover from the headlight unit.

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT BULB

    1. E274801

      Turn the No. 1 headlight bulb as shown in the illustration to remove it.

      Note:

      Do not touch the bulb glass.

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 HEADLIGHT BULB

    1. E274798

      Turn the No. 2 headlight bulb as shown in the illustration to remove it.

      Note:

      Do not touch the bulb glass.

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT COVER

    1. E274803

      Remove the 2 No. 1 headlight socket covers from the headlight unit.

  5. REMOVE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT BULB

    1. E274804

      Turn the headlight cord with the front turn signal light bulb as shown in the illustration, and disconnect them as a unit.

    2. Remove the front turn signal light bulb from the headlight cord.

  6. REMOVE HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR

      Aiming Screw

      Turn the aiming screw of the headlight leveling motor in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) shown in the illustration.

      Tip:

      • Turn the aiming screw until the headlight leveling motor can be moved in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration.

      • Make sure to remember the number of aiming screw rotations.

    2. Turn the headlight leveling motor in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration to disengage the pin.

      Tip:

      When removing the headlight leveling motor of the headlight assembly RH, turn the headlight leveling motor in the opposite direction of the arrow (2) shown in the illustration.

      Aiming Screw

      Turn the aiming screw of the headlight leveling motor in the direction indicated by the arrow (3) shown in the illustration to disengage the shaft.

      Tip:

      Make sure to remember the number of aiming screw rotations.

    4. Pull out the headlight leveling motor in the direction indicated by the arrow (4) shown in the illustration to remove it.

  7. REMOVE HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR BASE PACKING

    1. Remove the headlight leveling motor base packing.

      Note:

      After the headlight leveling motor base packing is removed, be sure to replace it with a new one. Failure to do so may cause water ingress.

  8. REMOVE HEADLIGHT BRACKET

    1. E274811

      Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the 2 headlight brackets from the headlight unit.
