LUBRICATION SYSTEM GENERAL GENERAL
OUTLINE
The lubrication circuit is fully pressurized and all oil passes through an oil filter.
The vane type oil pump assembly is chain-driven by the crankshaft.
This engine has an oil return system in which the oil is force-fed to the upper cylinder head sub-assembly and returns to the oil pan through the oil return holes in the cylinder head sub-assembly and cylinder block sub-assembly.
This engine uses a variable valve timing system. This system is operated by the engine oil.
