FRONT CRANKSHAFT OIL SEAL INSTALLATION
PROCEDURE
INSTALL TIMING CHAIN COVER OIL SEAL

Apply engine oil
Apply engine oil to the lip of a new timing chain cover oil seal.

Using SST and a hammer, tap in the timing chain cover oil seal until its surface is flush with the timing chain cover sub-assembly edge.
Standard Depth
-0.5 to 1.0 mm (-0.0197 to 0.0394 in.)

Note:Do not tap in the timing chain cover oil seal at an angle.

INSTALL CRANKSHAFT PULLEY
Align the crankshaft timing gear key with the key groove of the crankshaft pulley.
Using SST, hold the crankshaft pulley in place and tighten the crankshaft pulley set bolt.

INSTALL ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
Temporarily install the engine mounting insulator sub-assembly RH to the vehicle body with the 3 bolts.
Install the engine mounting insulator sub-assembly RH to the timing chain cover sub-assembly with the 2 bolts and nut.

Fully tighten the 3 bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

Lower the engine, and remove the jack.
INSTALL OIL FILTER BRACKET

Install a new oil filter bracket gasket to the timing chain cover sub-assembly.

Install the oil filter bracket with the 3 bolts.

INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT
INSPECT FOR OIL LEAK
INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER RH
Install the front fender liner RH with the 3 bolts, 2 screws and 2 clips.
INSTALL FRONT WHEEL RH
