EXHAUST PIPE GAS CONTROL ACTUATOR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

   Click here

2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

   Click here

3. REMOVE EXHAUST PIPE GAS CONTROL ACTUATOR

   1. 

      Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the 2 water hoses.

   2. 

      *1	Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, pry the portion shown in the illustration to disengage the spring.

   3. 

      Remove the 3 bolts, 3 nuts, gasket and exhaust pipe gas control actuator case.

   4. 

      *a	Port A
      *b	Port B

      While closing the port (A), apply compressed air to the port (B) to remove the exhaust pipe gas control actuator as shown in the illustration.

      Tip:

      Use a piece of cloth to catch the exhaust pipe gas control actuator.
