    2. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Tech Tips

Measure the values on the wire harness side with the connector disconnected.

Tester Connection Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
      L17-21 (B) - L17-14 (GND) Y - W-B Auxiliary battery power supply Power switch off 11 to 14 V
      L17-1 (IG+) - L17-14 (GND) P - W-B Ignition power supply (IG signal) Power switch on (IG) → off 11 to 14 V → Below 1 V
      L17-14 (GND) - Body ground W-B - Body ground Ground Always Below 1 Ω

If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction in the wire harness.

    3. Reconnect the L17 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Tester Connection Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
L17-20 (RDFG) - L17-14 (GND) SB - W-B Mirror heater switch (rear window defogger switch) signal Power switch on (IG), mirror heater switch (rear window defogger switch) off 11 to 14 V
L17-20 (RDFG) - L17-14 (GND) SB - W-B Mirror heater switch (rear window defogger switch) signal Power switch on (IG), mirror heater switch (rear window defogger switch) on Below 1 V

If the result is not as specified, the air conditioning amplifier assembly may have a malfunction.

  2. CHECK AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY (CENTER CLUSTER MODULE CIRCUIT)

    1. Disconnect the L20 air conditioning control assembly (center cluster module circuit) connector.

    2. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Tech Tips

Measure the values on the wire harness side with the connector disconnected.

Tester Connection Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
      L20-16 (IG+) - L20-1 (GND) Y - W-B Ignition power supply (IG signal) Power switch on (IG) → off 11 to 14 V → Below 1 V
      L20-1 (GND) - Body ground W-B - Body ground Ground Always Below 1 Ω

If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction in the wire harness.

    3. Reconnect the L20 air conditioning control assembly (center cluster module circuit) connector.

    4. Check for pulses according to the value(s) in the table below.

Tester Connection Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
L20-3 (TX+) - L20-1 (GND) V - W-B Mirror heater switch (rear window defogger switch) signal Power switch on (IG) Pulse generation

If the result is not as specified, the air conditioning control assembly (center cluster module circuit) may have a malfunction.
