PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE

Note:
  • When replacing the combination meter assembly, make sure to replace it with a new one.

  • When replacing the pre-collision city sensor, replace it with a new one and be sure to initialize the settings. If a pre-collision city sensor which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the pre-collision city sensor will not match the information from the vehicle and, as a result, a DTC may be stored.

Tip:

Use the table below to help determine the cause of problem symptoms. If multiple suspected areas are listed, the potential causes of the symptoms are listed in order of probability in the "Suspected Area" column of the table. Check each symptom by checking the suspected areas in the order they are listed. Replace parts as necessary.

PCS OFF warning light blinking or illuminated

The pre-collision city sensor temperature is extremely high and the system will not operate. When the temperature return to normal, normal control will return (Check High or Low Temperature Status).
