GLOW PLUG (w/ EGR Cooler) INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL GLOW PLUG ASSEMBLY

    A01E28J

    1. Using a 12 mm deep socket wrench, install the 4 glow plugs.

      Torque:
      13 N*m  { 133 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL NO. 1 INTAKE MANIFOLD INSULATOR


    1. A01DXBZ

      Install the manifold insulator to the cylinder head.

  3. INSTALL NO. 1 GLOW PLUG CONNECTOR


    1. Install the glow plug connector by uniformly tightening the 4 nuts.

      Torque:
      2.2 N*m  { 22 kgf*cm, 19 in.*lbf }

    2. Install the 4 screw grommets.

    3. A01E1EUE01

      Install the wire harness with the nut.

      Torque:
      2.0 N*m  { 20 kgf*cm, 18 in.*lbf }

    4. Install the No. 2 intake manifold stay with the bolt.

      Torque:
      20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

  4. INSTALL EGR COOLER


    1. Install the EGR cooler Click here.

  5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  6. PERFORM INITIALIZATION


    1. Perform initialization Click here.

      Note

      Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
