The MG ECU, which is built into the inverter with converter assembly, monitors its internal operation and will store DTCs if the system is malfunctioning. If any of the following DTCs are output, replace the inverter with converter assembly.

Tip:
  • If DTC P06B0-163, P06D6-511, P06E6-164, P0A1A-151, P0A1A-658, P0A1A-791, P0A1B-786, P0A1B-794, P0A1C-709, P0A1C-710, P0A1C-797, P1C2A-155, P1C2B-192, P1C2C-706, P1C73-512, P3133-659 or P3134-661 is output, clear the DTCs, perform the following procedure, and check that the same DTC is not output after the repair.

    1. Turn the power switch on (IG) and wait for 5 seconds or more.

  • If DTC P1CA6-156, P1CA7-193 or P1CA8-708 is output, clear the DTCs, perform the following procedure, and check that the same DTC is not output after the repair.

    1. Turn the power switch on (IG) and wait for 1 minute or more.

  • If DTC P0A1A-166 is output, clear the DTCs, perform the following procedure, and check that the same DTC is not output after the repair.

    1. Turn the power switch on (READY).

    2. With the vehicle stopped and the shift lever in P, depress the accelerator pedal and start the engine.

    3. Depress the accelerator pedal and keep the engine running for 30 seconds or more.

  • If DTC P0A1B-198 or P0A1C-713 is output, clear the DTCs, perform the following procedure, and check that the same DTC is not output after the repair.

    1. Turn the power switch on (READY).

    2. Drive the vehicle at 5 km/h (3 mph) or more for 30 seconds or more.
