SUB BATTERY INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL SUB-BATTERY BRACKET

   
   

   1. Install the sub-battery bracket (positive (+) terminal side) to the sub-battery module assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:

      for bolt A

      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

      for bolt B

      4.5 N*m  { 46 kgf*cm, 40 in.*lbf }

      Bolt Length
      Item Length (Distance from the Seat) Bolt A 10.4 mm (0.41 in.) Bolt B 8 mm (0.31 in.)

   2. Install the sub-battery bracket (negative (-) terminal side) to the sub-battery module assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:

      for bolt A

      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

      for bolt B

      4.5 N*m  { 46 kgf*cm, 40 in.*lbf }

      Bolt Length
      Item Length (Distance from the Seat) Bolt A 10.4 mm (0.41 in.) Bolt B 8 mm (0.31 in.)

2. INSTALL SUB-BATTERY MODULE ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Install the sub-battery module assembly with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:

      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

   2. Connect the connector to the sub-battery module assembly.

   3. Connect the 2 sub-battery terminals to the sub-battery module assembly with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:

      8.7 N*m  { 89 kgf*cm, 77 in.*lbf }

3. INSTALL CONNECTOR COVER

   
   

   1. Attach the 2 claws and install connector cover to the sub-battery module assembly.

4. INSTALL REAR LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRAY BRACKET RH

   
   

   1. Attach the clip and install the rear luggage compartment tray bracket RH.

   2. Install the rope hook assembly with the bolt.

      Torque:

      6.5 N*m  { 66 kgf*cm, 58 in.*lbf }

   3. Attach the claw and close the cap.

10. INSTALL REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE

20. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
