CANISTER(w/ Canister Pump Module) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER CENTER LH

  2. REMOVE CHARCOAL CANISTER ASSEMBLY

      *1 Fuel Tank To Canister Tube Sub-assembly (Vent Line Tube)
      *2 Fuel Vent Hose Sub-assembly (Air Inlet Line Hose)
      *3 Purge Line Hose
      *a Retainer
      *b Pull Out

      Slide the clamp and disconnect the purge line hose.

    2. Disconnect the fuel vent hose sub-assembly (air inlet line hose) from the charcoal canister assembly.


      1. Pinch the retainer and then raise it.

        Note


        • Do not use any tools in this procedure.

        • Check for any dirt and foreign matter contamination in the charcoal canister assembly and around the fuel vent hose sub-assembly (air inlet line hose). Clean if necessary. Foreign matter may damage the O-ring or cause leaks in the seal between the charcoal canister assembly and fuel vent hose sub-assembly (air inlet line hose).

    3. Disconnect the fuel tank to canister tube sub-assembly (vent line tube) from the charcoal canister assembly.


      1. Pinch the retainer and then raise it.

        • Check for any dirt and foreign matter contamination in the charcoal canister assembly and around the fuel tank to canister tube sub-assembly (vent line tube). Clean if necessary. Foreign matter may damage the O-ring or cause leaks in the seal between the charcoal canister assembly and fuel tank to canister tube sub-assembly (vent line tube).

      Remove the 4 bolts, clip and charcoal canister assembly.
