DESCRIPTION

The ECM monitors the battery. When the engine is running (not cranking) and the battery voltage drops below a specified level, the ECM determines that there is battery deterioration and stores this DTC.

Battery capacity is abnormally low for 10 seconds or more when the engine is running (not cranking) (1 trip detection logic).

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK FOR DTC

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Check for DTCs (Click here).

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATT POWER SOURCE)

    1. Disconnect the A76 ECM connector.

      Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
