When one of the conditions below is met:

  • System microprocessor malfunction

  • Media interface microprocessor malfunction

  • CD-LSI (Large Scale Integration) malfunction

  • Internal power supply malfunction

  • USB device

  • "iPod"

  • Harness or connector

  • No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly

  • Multi-media interface ECU

Tip:

After the inspection is completed, clear the DTC.

PROCEDURE

  1. REPLACE "iPod" OR USB DEVICE

    1. Disconnect the USB device or "iPod" from the stereo jack adapter.

    2. Turn the engine switch off.

      Tip:

      When one of these DTCs has been stored, is necessary to turn off the engine switch to make it possible for the vehicle to recognize a new device when it is connected.

    3. Turn the engine switch on (ACC).

    4. Connect a known good USB device or "iPod" to the stereo jack adapter.

      Tip:

      If the malfunction occurred when a USB device was in use, use another USB device for the inspection. If the malfunction occurred when an "iPod" was in use, use another "iPod" for the inspection.

  2. CHECK FOR DTC

    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs

    2. Check DTCs and check if the same DTC occurs again.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Disconnect the H34 multi-media interface ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the H33 No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
