REAR LEAF SPRING (for 2WD) DISASSEMBLY


  1. REMOVE REAR LEAF SPRING PIN BUSH


    1. Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 bushes from the bracket pin side or spring.

  2. REMOVE REAR LEAF SPRING SHACKLE LOWER BUSH


    1. Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 bushes from the spring shackle side or spring.

  3. REMOVE REAR LEAF SPRING SHACKLE UPPER BUSH


    1. Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 bushes from the spring shackle side or spring.

  4. DISASSEMBLE REAR SPRING ASSEMBLY

      Secure the rear leaf spring assembly in a vise between aluminum plates.

    2. Using a brass bar and hammer, pry open the 4 spring clips of the rear No. 3 leaf spring.

      Note

      Do not damage the leaf spring.

      Secure the spring with a vise as shown in the illustration.

    4. Remove the nut and center bolt.

    5. for TMT Made Extra Cab:

      Remove the 2 rear No. 3 spring spacers.

    6. for TMT Made Double Cab:

      Remove the rear No. 3 spring spacer.

    7. for TSAM Made:

      Remove the 3 rear No. 3 spring spacers.

    8. Remove the No. 1 spring spacer.

  5. REMOVE REAR SPRING SILENCER


    1. Remove the 4 rear spring silencers from the leaf spring.

  6. REMOVE REAR SPRING LEAF BUSH (except TMT Made Single Cab)

      Using SST and a press, remove the rear spring leaf bush from the rear No. 1 leaf spring.
