      Text in Illustration
      *1 Motor Gear
      *a Clockwise
      *b Counterclockwise
      *c

      Component without harness connected

(Power Window Regulator Motor Assembly RH)

Check the operation of the power window regulator motor assembly RH.

      Note

Do not apply positive (+) battery voltage to any terminals other than terminal 1 or 3 to avoid damaging the pulse sensor inside the motor.

      1. Apply battery voltage to the power window regulator motor assembly RH and check the operation of the power window regulator motor assembly RH.

    2. Check that the motor gear rotates smoothly as follows:

      Standard
      Measurement Condition Specified Condition

      1. Battery positive (+) → Terminal 3 (WD)

      2. Battery negative (-) → Terminals 1 (WU)

      Motor gear rotates clockwise

      1. Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 (WU)

      2. Battery negative (-) → Terminals 3 (WD)

      Motor gear rotates counterclockwise

      • If the result is not as specified, replace the power window regulator motor assembly RH.

      CAUTION:

Reset the power window regulator motor (initialize the pulse sensor) after installing the power window regulator motor and regulator assembly onto the door.

  2. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH

      Text in Illustration
      *1 Motor Gear
      *a Counterclockwise
      *b Clockwise
      *c

      Component without harness connected

(Power Window Regulator Motor Assembly LH)

Check the operation of the power window regulator motor assembly LH.

      Note

Do not apply positive (+) battery voltage to any terminals other than terminal 1 or 3 to avoid damaging the pulse sensor inside the motor.

      1. Apply battery voltage to the power window regulator motor assembly LH and check the operation of the power window regulator motor assembly LH.

    2. Check that the motor gear rotates smoothly as follows:

      Standard
      Measurement Condition Specified Condition

      1. Battery positive (+) → Terminal 3 (WD)

      2. Battery negative (-) → Terminals 1 (WU)

      Motor gear rotates counterclockwise

      1. Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 (WU)

      2. Battery negative (-) → Terminals 3 (WD)

      Motor gear rotates clockwise

      • If the result is not as specified, replace the power window regulator motor assembly LH.

      CAUTION:

Reset the power window regulator motor (initialize the pulse sensor) after installing the power window regulator motor and regulator assembly onto the door.
