ROOF HEADLINING REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note:
    • After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Click here).

    • When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Click here).

  2. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear No. 2 Seat)

    1. Remove the rear No. 2 seat assembly (Click here).

  3. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT ASSEMBLY

    1. for 60/40 Split Slide Walk-in Seat Type LH Side:

      Remove the rear No. 1 seat assembly (Click here).

    2. for 60/40 Split Slide Walk-in Seat Type RH Side:

      Remove the rear No. 1 seat assembly (Click here).

  4. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEATBACK ASSEMBLY

    1. for 60/40 Split Double-folding Seat Type LH Side:

      Remove the rear No. 1 seatback assembly (Click here).

    2. for 60/40 Split Double-folding Seat Type RH Side:

      Remove the rear No. 1 seatback assembly (Click here).

  5. REMOVE DOOR SCUFF PLATE ASSEMBLY LH

    Protective Tape

    1. Put protective tape around the door scuff plate.

    2. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 clips, 10 claws and 2 guides.

      Tip:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    3. Disconnect the connector and remove the door scuff plate.

  6. REMOVE DOOR SCUFF PLATE ASSEMBLY RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  7. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH

    1. Remove the clip.

    2. Detach the clip and claw and remove the cowl side trim board.

  8. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

    1. Remove the front door opening trim weatherstrip.

  11. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 ASSIST GRIP PLUG LH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure for the other front No. 1 assist grip plug.

    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the front No. 1 assist grip plug.

      Tip:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  12. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 ASSIST GRIP PLUG RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  13. REMOVE NO. 1 ASSIST GRIP

    1. Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Detach the 2 claws and remove the No. 1 assist grip.

  14. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH

    1. Detach the 3 guides and remove the front pillar garnish.

      Curtain Shield Airbag Assembly

      Adhesive Tape

      Protective Cover

      Protect the curtain shield airbag assembly.

      1. Completely cover the airbag with a cloth or nylon sheet and secure the ends of the cover with adhesive tape as shown in the illustration.

        Note:

        Cover the curtain shield airbag with a protective cover as soon as the front pillar garnish is removed.

  15. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  16. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 FLOOR STEP COVER (w/ Rear No. 2 Seat)

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure for all rear No. 1 floor step covers.

    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the rear No. 1 floor step cover.

      Tip:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  17. REMOVE QUARTER SCUFF PLATE LH (w/ Rear No. 2 Seat)

  19. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

    1. Put protective tape around the rear door scuff plate.

    2. Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 clips, 6 claws and 2 guides and remove the rear door scuff plate.

      Tip:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  20. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  21. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

  23. REMOVE OUTER LAP BELT ANCHOR COVER

    1. Detach the 3 claws and remove the outer lap belt anchor cover.

  24. REMOVE LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH

    1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the front seat outer belt floor anchor.

      Detach the 4 claws and 2 clips and remove the lower center pillar garnish.

  27. REMOVE NO. 2 ASSIST GRIP PLUG RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

    1. Move the front shoulder belt anchor adjuster to the lowest position.

    2. Remove the bolt.

    3. Detach the 2 clips and 2 guides.

    4. Pass the front seat outer belt floor anchor through the center pillar garnish and remove the center pillar garnish.

  30. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  31. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY (w/ Tonneau Cover)

    1. Remove the tonneau cover.

  32. REMOVE FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER (w/o Rear No. 2 Seat)

  36. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT OUTER LAP BELT ANCHOR COVER

    1. Detach the 3 claws and remove the rear No. 1 seat outer lap belt anchor cover.

  37. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK

    1. Remove the luggage compartment trim hook by turning it clockwise.

  38. REMOVE NO. 1 TONNEAU COVER HOLDER CAP (w/o Tonneau Cover)

    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the No. 1 tonneau cover holder cap.

      2. Remove the 4 bolts and 2 screws.

      3. Detach the 5 clips and 8 claws and remove the deck trim side panel.
